New Eyes and Old Phrases

Growing up in church, of course I had heard of the "Beatitudes". For some reason they had always eluded me in that consciousness... There was a strange disconnect with them, and the underlying energy the church was thriving on. WAR...

"Militant Christian" is such a strange label, yet it exists? I was under the impression that it would be a great act of honor to be a "spiritual warrior for Christ". The current Christianity drives the idea of spiritual battle forward, propagating the citizens of this paradigm to be alert, because the "enemy" is cunning. 

 Be ever vigilant, "The devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." 1Peter 5:8

"Warrior" and "Enemy" are born from a consciousness bound in war trials. It's very existence proves the nature of our humanity. A nature that is changing rapidly...

This model is something all too familiar all of the sudden. With war do we give our power away to authority. Perpetual war has kept us as a nation in need of a Government that strips us of liberty to keep our security. I see the wheel turning. Manifest a hell in this paradise and you have control over its peoples with promises of protection. It has been the oldest trick in the book. With this model we are constantly under the spiritual impression that we NEED GOD, when the greatest masters we study have been teaching that our very nature neglects this fallacy. Our very Nature as One with God. We desire happiness, and prosperity. All souls of earth we encounter have this desire for themselves. This "reality" as we know it today, a world constantly on the tipping edge of conflict is alien in concept to what we know in our hearts to be true. We have been rediscovering our nature as we move into Christ consciousness.

"It's true, we no longer need God. In fact, we have never needed God. How can we 'need' something that we always have, that we cannot NOT have under any circumstances, that we can always use, that we cannot NOT use no matter how we might deny that we are? You cannot NOT have God in your life, as part of your life. This is something many people cannot believe.They can't believe the highest promise of God: I am with you, even unto the end of time." -unknown. (emphasis added)

I let this echo in my thoughts. I found it valuable to redefine. "This is a promise I have been told since I can remember" yet, there was a stipulation taught that you can "fall away" from God. -"Godforsaken". A feeling that I would define as the first Beatitude, as accounted by Matthew and Luke. 

Blessed are...

•  the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 

The poor in spirit. Their trial is one of illusion. Have they only now to be filled with Spirit's ever-presence. Thus revealing the true gift of life, this paradise, our Earth.

• the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

With the meek, their gentle being illuminates them as shepherds of Earth. With humility, and kindness does the Earth flourish with gifts in abundance. For so long did I find this to be about possession of our Mother, only when Unity was understood did it make sense beyond this. There is no inheritance as greed would define it, but an inheritance of a joyous responsibility in tending.

"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children." -Native American Proverb.

• the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

 The Pure in heart shall see God, as one who has found unconditional love in unity is found in awe of God's presence all around her. 

• the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

The peacemakers have found that in unity do we find the conflict external is a manifestation of the conflict internal. Spirit illuminates the path before them like a light from their mouths that speaks peace into fear.

I find here that the beatitudes are not merely a simple "if/then" list of behaviors and rewards, but a telling of true nature! All of these are at your fingertips, because all of these ways of Being are interconnected, and are stirring within you to awaken their potential! Unconditional Love, Unity, Happiness and Peace are all possible! They are all REAL. I find this statement bold to many, but I would be so bold to let it be known.

As I am in metamorphosis, I see the people around me changing also. This life in unity we call humanity is evolving. We are changing with our Earth and finding our existence renewed with Love and purpose. Those who are awake and alive in Spirit are called the children of God, and those same masters are pointing their finger back at those who glorify them with excited hearts encouraging them to a place of Self discovery. We are all One, we are all God. The kingdom of God awaits those who are ready to find it. 

 "Once, on being asked by the pharisee's when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed,or will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you." -Luke 17:20-21
